MONDAY MIDNITE of the world-famous TECHNOTRONIC FAME is one of the top artists of AGPN MUSIC.

From his birthplace of Benin City to New York to Nashville to Los Angeles to Antwerp-Belgium to London and many countries across Europe, Monday Midnite has blazed the musical trail almost all his life as a Radio /Club DJ, lyricist, composer, producer, and rapper/singer in various music genres. Although he had successes in the '80s sharing podiums with the likes of REGGIE of INDEEP (Last Night The DJ Saved My Life), Bristish Diva, PRINCESS (Say I'm Your Number 1), TONY MCKENZIE (Lolita), and many others, his massive success as a Club DJ/Recording Artist came a few years after partly returning to Belgium from the United States and he started headlining the R&B section of ZILLION--one of the best Clubs in the Universe at the time. This led to him becoming one of the most sought-after rap voices in Belgium in 1999.
Monday Midnite would soon after become the first black artist (if not the first artist) to feature in the Belgium top music charts as the lead vocalist and lyricist of two different hit-making acts (TECHNOTRONIC and DA RICK) simultaneously. A lot of people don't know this (perhaps because he never went on stage with DA RICK), but Monday Midnite wrote the lyrics and provided the scintillating vocals for two of DA RICK's major hit singles "RUMBLE" and "ROLL THE DRUMS," which were produced by two top Belgian Producers--PATRICK BRUYNDONX and DANNY VAN WAUVE. The two tracks were PHENOMENON on the JUMPER and RAVE dance scenes between 1999 and 2001. RUMBLE remains a JUMPER dance floor classic anthem to date.
While RUMBLE was burning up the RAVE and JUMPER Scenes, Monday Midnite penned and voiced another chart-busting song "LIKE THIS" (also produced by PATRICK BRUYNDONX and DANNY VAN WAUVE) and the track was chosen by PATRICK BUSSCHOTS (the chief executive of ARS and later boss of UNIVERSAL MUSIC BELGIUM) as a comeback song for the company's world-famous dance music act TECHNOTRONIC--- the group that took the whole world by storm in 1990 with their worldwide smash hit "PUMP UP THE JAM."
After TECHNOTRONIC's huge success in the early '90s, the group became dormant without any worthy hits. Different artists like REGGIE the former singer of INDEEP (Last night the DJ saved my life) and a few others, did their best to revive the group but without notable success...until Monday Midnite entered the scene.
The cool, deep, and ruggedly sexy voice he employed in the delivery of "LIKE THIS" appealed not only to the Record Label, but also to Clubs/Radio DJs, and subsequently to a wide range of music lovers across the world. ARS released "LIKE THIS" under the name "TECHNOTRONIC Featurin' Monday Midnite" in late1999 and it was an instant success in nightclubs across Europe. It went on to chart in many countries around the world including CANADA, SWEDEN, FRANCE, DENMARK, and yes, SOUTH AFRICA, where it was NUMBER ONE on the charts for many weeks. It was top ten in BELGIUM for months, peaking at NO 6 and NO 9 in the French and Flemish part of Belgium respectively.
"THE G TRAIN" quickly followed. Although it didn't quite replicate the huge success of "LIKE THIS" except in SOUTH AFRICA where it also hit NUMBER ONE, it featured outstandingly on many charts. The song's subject matter and the unique vocal performance of Monday Midnite on the track cemented his name on the music scene in BELGIUM and across many countries in the world.

In 2004, his cover of Cameo's "WORD UP" produced by internationally renowned producer, SERGE RAMAEKERS, burnt the dance floor in clubs around Europe.

In 2009, Monday Midnite teamed up with two popular Belgium DJs-- GENE POLE and PHIL to produce "The sun is coming up" for BIP RECORDS. His Ragga-like vocal performance on the track is simply riveting. He also penned the lyrics.

Monday Midnite also co-wrote and performed a phenomenon song "TOMORROW" for one of Belgium's top groups SWEET COFFEE in 2009 that saw him dive into a reggae-dub/house vocal style that instantly makes one think of GROOVE AMANDA. The song was a huge success in Belgium. He performed two more songs (ALONE and DON'T THINK SO) on the chart-topping FACE TO FACE album of SWEET COFFEE and toured with them from 2009 through 2010---- a tour that climaxed when he performed with the group on the stage of one of the BIGGEST MUSIC FESTIVALS in the world ......WERCHTER, on the 4th of July 2010.
In late 2010, Monday Midnite hooked up with GENE POLE again. But this time they collaborated with another ace producer ANDRES ROMERO as well as DJ DI LUCCI to produce the single "SPREAD SOME LOVE" which was released by BIP RECORDS under the name "DI LUCCI and GENE POLE featuring Monday Midnite." His lyrics on this track are unique in that he succeeded in tackling a social issue (the need for more love in the world) in a fun and simplistic way without detracting from the message.

In between all of his collaborative endeavors, he also focused on his personal mission which is MUSIC ACTIVISM with the aim of using his talent to fight against corruption, injustice, and governmental incompetence in Africa...especially in his country of birth, Nigeria. His first single in this regard "BRING BACK THE MONEY" was released online in 2009, followed by "PISSY PISSY" in 2010, "AZZHOLES ROCK" album in 2014, and his "1897" album in 2018. The song "1897" itself was recorded in 2007 and first released in 2009 to kickstart the campaign for the return of ALL THE ARTIFACTS that the British Invaders looted from his native BENIN KINGDOM in 1897. CHINONIALISM
CHINONIALISM is the latest single in the arsenal of Monday Midnite's MUSIC ACTIVISM on behalf of Africa. The track carries a strong message and a wake-up call to ALL AFRICANS with regard to the dangerous debt-trap that the ever so corrupt African leaders are piloting the continent into in their dealings with China.
In his own words:
"Look, this is not a China-bashing song. As a matter of fact, I don't blame China at all in their lopsided economic relationship with Africa. My blame is squarely on our CORRUPT AFRICAN LEADERS who continue to hew out deals that compromise Africa's integrity in the interest of their bellies."
